What is Web Development?
Building and maintaining the websites is called Web development. This work is done behind the scenes which makes the website look good, work fast, and perform well with a smooth user experience.
The persons who build and maintain these websites are called Web developers or Devs. They build the websites using a variety of coding languages which depends on the task they are performing and the platform which they are using to build the websites.
Web development skill is high in demand and high-paying skill worldwide. Web development is a great career option and the easiest accessible higher-paying field which do not require any traditional degree of any university to be qualified.
Types of Web Development:
Web development has three types. Front-end Web Development, Back-end Web development, and Full-stack Web development.
- Front-end Web development:
Front-end Web development is also known as the user interface side. This can easily be done by using only three coding languages HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Front-end web developers take an idea from different drawings and turn these designs into the user interface of a website.
2. Back-end web development:
The back-end is a program where all the data is stored and without this data, no frontend would be there. The back end of any website consists of a host server, database, and an application running the website.
Backend developers use different computers programs and make sure that the database, application, and host server are running smoothly and perfectly. They analyze what the company needs and then accordingly provide the solutions. For the back end, they mostly use PHP, Python, Ruby, and Java programming languages.
3. Full-Stack Web Development:
There is a third type of Web developer also, which is known as a full-stack web developer. If you are a Frontend as well as backend developer you will be also known as a full-stack developer. Full-stack developers take care of both the front end and back end of the website.
Is it a good decision to choose web development as a career?
If you have the same question as above that is web development is good to choose as a career then my answer is yes. Web development is increasing day by day. Different types of small and large businesses are turning toward online presence. So the demand for quality Web devs is increasing continuously.
Web development has many prons which make it easy to choose it as a career some of them are given below:

- Web developers get high rates and prices for their services.
- Web development provides more flexibility to the devs.
- Web developers have a lot different of opportunities.
- It increases the learning and problem-solving skills
Web developers have many other pros but I have listed these five just to show you that it is a good decision to choose web development as a good career.
