Hi, I'm here to tell you what is Digital Marketing? Digital Marketing is a way to reach potential customers via different Digital Channels like Facebook, Instagram, twitter, Pinterest and Google etc. in other words Digital Marketing is part of marketing which uses digital technologies based on internet like Desktop, Computers, Mobile phones and other digital channels and media to promote products and services.
Digital Marketing is also known as online marketing or promotion of brands. It not only includes email, Web Based advertising and Social Media but also includes multimedia messages and text.

Digital Marketing has 6 different types. Some of them are paid and some are free. First we go through these types names and then we will discuss them in details. Below are the types of digital Marketing.

1. SEO | Search Engine Optimization:

Search engine optimization is a way to improve website traffic by improving the quality and quantity of content on a website or webpage. It is unpaid method of Digital marketing. Search Engine Optimization is a way to rank a website higher on search engines like google so that when some one searches any thing related to website content that website must be shown the user top of the list of number down. Website owners do research about the audience that how the audience uses search engines to search text, images, videos, and audios and any other useful information. He research about the user to know that which text they use to search their query so after completing the research about users he uses high ranking key words and text in his content and publishes it. So when a user search the query search engine shows the result related to that query and if the website has same keywords as the query searched it will show it on top so user will immediately click on the first 4-5 websites and goes to the website landing page. Their the company or brand puts content on that landing page like products and if the user found that product useful or according to his query or what ever he/she wants he become a consumer. In this way SEO is a type of Digital marketing.
2. Email-Marketing:
Sending Promotional Messages to Potentials customers or users via their Email is known as email Marketing. In this Digital Era every thing has become very easy. When someone visits a website his behavior is noted by his/her clicks. Most Websites requires signup to access the premium content. So when a user submit their email to access the content it is recorded at the backend of the website. The website owner (May be a company or brand) when uploads new content of launches new products Informs his users of consumers by sending them Email in which he tells them about the product or content. So it makes him easy to approach his consumers and users and increase sales and traffic. So Email Marketing is very effective way of Digital Marketing.
3. PPC | Pay Per Click:
Pay Per Click is a paid type of Digital Marketing. You pay to search engines to show your ads at the top of the search result pages. When you create PPC ad search engines show your ad at the top to the consumers and charges you only when a consumer click on you ad. Means this is very cost effective and gives high rate of conversions and You only pay for the clicks. After clicking the ad consumer goes to the landing page which you select in the ad and there start your own efforts if your web page has good and eye catching content or a product then that user may become permanent user or loyal customer.
4. Social Media Marketing:
Social Media Platforms Like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest etc. has millions of audience. A large number of Audience is very familiar these Social Media Platforms worldwide. According to a research an individual spends almost 2 hours and 27 minutes per day on social media and this trends differs from country to country. So these social media Platforms give choice to advertiser to advertise their product or services to a wide range of audience. It is more convenient way of advertisement because it allows us to target even specific number of audience. let understand it with and Example. It is an indirect way of marketing. It is performance based marketing. In this type of marketing an individual becomes an affiliate with a company or brand and do marketing on his own efforts. In return company or brand rewards him for each visitor or consumer he bring to the company or make sales. In other words it is a way of Marketing where publisher promotes products or services of any other brand or retailers and earn commission.

Consider your friend is running a T shirt store Online and you are social Media activist having a large number of followers. He offers you to promote his T shirts with your audience and he will pay you 30% per customer order. You introduce his t shirts and your audience purchase the T shirts and you get paid 30% of the revenue generated per order. it is called affiliate Marketing.
6. Content Marketing:
Content Marketing is a type of marketing in which target audience is attract by creating, publishing and distributing articles, videos, images etc. Content Marketing is a way to keep brand or company top in the mind of user or consumer when it comes to buy a service or products. Brands and Companies keep publishing content related to their service and products which keep engaged with the audience and you know when we see a thing continuously we think about it first. So if a brand remains engaged with audience then when ever a person will thing to purchase services or products related to that brand it will surely prior that brand than others. So In this way published content will help to close a sale and it is called content Marketing.
